The Hemerocallis 'San Louis Halloween' is, as the name suggests, bright orange! However, the flower is not just any bright orange; it has a burgundy red ring around the center of the flower, which looks a bit like an eye thanks to the pistils in the center. There is also a burgundy red border around the inner leaves of the flower, which distinguishes the flower from other orange daylilies. Halloween may not take place in the summer, but this flower definitely belongs in the garden around that time!
The plant grows to between 40 and 80 cm high and gives full bloom the first year. After the flowering period, the flower dies and just returns the following year! A Hemerocallis is also called a 'day lily' and is available in many shapes, sizes and colors.
